Unfortunately I’m in Lauderdale so this is all second hand to me. Sorry Bill, couldn’t hear you down here, ha ha.

YO DAVE... GOTTA REBEL YELL from down there! Was the sun in yer eyes??? Hey everybody... Phil Swift here with FLEXSEAL... hell, why not cut the bottom outa yer yacht and mount a screen door in the hole... Flexseal really works and heres how... Probably on stuffing boxes too!! So some of you guys with the nice boats never know the best part of restoration work; the bruised, skinned and burned knuckles, spider webs in the paint... all the good stuff. I finally got all the window framing cleaned and prepped, and painted a nice juicy coat of epoxy primer all the way. It was about the consistency of nice varnish. Today it had gone off and was ready for a seal coat with black Flexseal. I hate bandaids on stuff. Life is too short to sleep in a damp bunk with spiders and mildew and thats what started this job. First, I still hafta thank all those involved in getting the ol' HOG inside. This job wouldve really sucked under shrinkwrap. Not to promote more bandaids, but the epoxy and the black shit will seal the construction side for the next millenium. The pics are Daves boat one over and another trawler with the rope fendering, and of course FLEXSEAL!!! Yay... One more coat tomorrow, then the fun starts!

Flexseal sorry for you:
We have tried everything to seal up the tank on the truck that we use for dust control. Its a Ford 9000 with a 2500 gallon steel water tank on it. I even called in the experts that epoxy seal tanks. They blasted it clean and coated it. I think it lasted for less than a year. So, why not try Flexseal?? Well, that stuff seems to work. We recoat it inside every year or so, but it actually holds up pretty well. I laughed when the guys came back from Menards with that stuff, but I said, go ahead, nothing else seems to seal it up. I never thought it would work, but it does.

A couple of gallons and roll it around? Ive used the white stuff for a glass bond and it doesn't yellow at all! Why not try something new right? Send them some before and after pics with some testimony and maybe get a free case right?

In my fuzzy wuzzy was a shelf saga the nuts are jammed right against the bottom of the shelf. There is no way anyone could repack them without cutting up the shelf. I was thinking of noching the board so I didn’t have to open a can of worms. They don’t leak now and sure as shit if I repack them I’ll be in there 20 times until it stops leaking. Attachments:

Seriously this one pinch bolt is the only thing keeping the rudder out of Davey Joneses locker? Attachments:

Seriously this one pinch bolt is the only thing keeping the rudder out of Davey Joneses locker? That's odd. Mine have a collar on them that carries the vertical loading on a bronze flange on the rudder shelf. The pinch bolt only holds the tiller arm on the rudder shaft. I'll try to find a pic when I get to work.
