They're only 20 watts my over head lights are 40s and not really bright enough. Are they medium screw base?

Those halogens are really bright. I had to put dimmers on them. They are probably twice as bright as the incandescent 40 watters. The halogens are not medium base. They are G4 two-pin bulbs so you will need adapters. Here are some pics with the 4 OEM ceiling lights on at full power.

Check out Dr LED They have LED lights that fit your Nav light's socket Also sells a 32v - 12v step-down about the size of a match book. Have been using mine for about four years no problems 1971 58YF

Mr Skycheney, Your salon is most exellent, nice work. However, I would be skeered to sit on Your couch and would probably be thrown off the boat quickly. But still, very nice. Kiwi
