Well, I ordered 2-34 volt bulbs from Sams today. $4.95 each plus shipping. The customer service rep I spoke with was polite, helpful and promised to get the bulbs out today. Bill also spoke with Steve today but that is another issue and up to him to elaborate. I will tell you that it was not about the HOF. All in all, it was a great pleasure to do business with Sams and when Bill gets home the contact info he needs has been e-mailed to him so he can take care of another problem he has....ppat

Back to the drawing board.....ppat Ppat, I suggested before about using 24v bulbs, off 3 of the 4 8v batteries, I have suggested this before, I am wondering if it is not a good idea, other than work to change wiring. 24v bulbs are much easier to come by and a lot cheaper.

Thanks Craig....for wantever reason Bill has tried to keep this original. I just put in a call to Steve McPherson at SAMs and am hoping that the correct bulb can be bought. If not then as Bill said he may have to go some other way. I am beginning to think that it would be easier in the long run just to do it that way..........ppat

The 32 volt bulbs are becoming a real pain. I needed the 40w tube stlye for the interior lites on the 60C. No one makes them anymore Sams had them for $25 ea. So instead of changing or converting the fixture I bought some. They don't last long at all maybe 1/4 of the life of the ordinary 32v bulbs. I won't being buying any more I'll convert. A 30W 30ohm resistor should get you very close to 24V if you can find them in 24V. For interior lights I'm thing 3 compact 12V LEDs wired in series is the way to go.

Ever since I changed to those 34v Halogens, I just don't change bulbs anymore.
There was no way I was going to pay $25 for a sinkin bulb.
