In the long run shit happens, but with a little bleach it all comes out in the wash. Only my 3rd still hates my guts from 23 years ago, but, she hates her first 4 husbands too. Think Id have seen the red flag and listened to HER mother? NAW! I knew all the answers before I knew the questions! Say "Fuckem' " and go have some fun while yer young. Itll all be good when its supposed to be. Willy

Hey Krush, I'm on number 3. and she is a keeper, and lucky for me I have her fooled into thinking I am a keeper.
I'm with Willy, the feelings pass, and there is a reason for everything. So go out here and let yourself have some fun. Hey, remember the hot ones like those go fast boats.

Thanks for kind words. I don't wish it on anybody, but at least I didn't have kids or any real joint assets--that was the next step for us. I'm lucky in that everything else in life was/is going great (family, career, friends, etc) it was just one thing that didn't work out, and I can die knowing I tried everything possible to make it work. It was a huge shock to all my close friends and family, but people change, especially women.
SO back to original topic. I'm still going to get a boat, but it may be another year or two before I'm ready. I'm going to save up more and possibly expand the budget. I still plan on traveling and doing the loop. I work in the spring and fall and have most the summer and winter off. This summer I finished working 2nd week in May and hopefully don't go back to the day job until mid sept. I keep busy with other stuff in the off season though.

I don't know the boat but there are some potential red flags, new flooring, new engines, headliner replaced with wood, all original wood painted or replaced with what looks like plywood in some places.... My thought is that it was once a hurricane boat or a charter boat that someone saved.

In two weeks I head up to yankland for 4-5weeks at a nuke. But I think I'm going to try check this boat out this week. www.yachtworld.com/boats/1971/Hatteras-45-SF-2502708/Hampton/VA/United-States#.Uxkn96y8PPZDamnit Dr Jim and Jack....haha Looks like the perfect fit for a single guy like me. And that glass stuff with a heater will make it usable in the winter. Modern power. I screwed up and missed out on a nice ski boat for a summer toy ($7k). Not messing up again.
