I had a teacher push me through a window in 7th grade so they sent me to one of the BOCES schools. By the way the teacher was in the wrong and should not have pushed me through the plate glass window but he and others insisted I had the problem. My teacher was a short skinny Jewish guy that liked to play backgammon after we finished the work and waited for the rest of the class. On of the other teachers was a ex giants linebacker who was intimidating to most but the easiest going guy I ever met.
After a year I was back in the regular school still running about a 3.8 GPA in advanced classes so I don't think they hurt me much although they did introduce me to the "other culture".
By the way the teacher that threw me through the window did recover from the fractured broken collar bone and crushed testicles from the accident he had after I flew through the window.

I'm confused, the teacher who threw you through the window was a short, skinny Jewish guy? Are you sure you didn't just accidentally run into a mirror? Sorry, I couldn't resist.

I definitely don't qualify for 2 of those descriptives. Yes I am Jewish. Skinny would be a real stretch at 230 lbs but I think I carry it well. By the way I was not held responsible for the incident at school and was given an apology by the principal. I think they were afraid my parents would sue. A week later that teachers buddy (another teacher in the school) grabbed me and it got ugly for him.

I was just kidding, although I don't remember you being all that tall. I agree if you're 230 lbs you carry it just fine, but I'd really be impressed if you were 230 lbs in 7th grade. I'd have to agree it's pretty hard to justify a teacher pushing a 7th grader through a window. OTOH I've known a few teachers to get hurt by students as well. I went to a tough school. How tough was it? The school newspaper had an obituary column.

So in a recent pm with Derek I asked how is the boat coming ? Well after fessing up that he's been busy and a little LAZY He asked not to let up on him and a little push helps get motivated So I figured if a little push helps well then the more he has the better and faster it can get done ;D He needs to get the electrical and plumbing done so that it is more wife friendly which will make a huge difference this summer. Seems the wife is not thrilled with the Idea of cruising with out running water and lights Go figure. Friday will be the pep talk and planning. Monday can be the review of what got done. This weekend will be a three day weekend so it will be a Good one to get started IMG]http://i54.tinypic.com/28vbtc0.jpg[/IMG]

Okay, here's a couple of things I'm looking at: Measure for new battery cables: The plan is to use 4/0 cable with actual battery terminal ends which means only one cable attached to each battery terminal. This creates a question however, since I can't gang things on a battery terminal anymore. The battery boxes are in front of the engines. From there, positive cables will go to the battery isolation switches which will be mounted through the front ER bulkhead along with the parallel solenoid. From the switches, the 4/0 will go to the starters, and lighter cable will be used to feed the ship's distribution panels through circuit protection. So far, easy peasy. The question is with the negative cables. Should I run them to a busbar on the front ER bulkhead first? This would allow for coupling them between the batteries as required for paralleling without an extra 4/0 cable run across the rear, OTOH it means adding a connection and potential problem between the battery and the starter as well as a longer cable run. My other option is to go with 4/0 to the starter, a 4/0 between the two engines and a lighter return (say 2ga. depending on amperage) from the starter all the way back up to the negative bus. I'm kind of leaning toward the busbar since I found this: bluesea.com/category/82/35/productline/189Looks like solid connections with 3/8" studs and plenty of amp capacity, and less wire going back and forth. What do the real experts recommend? Also on the possible list: Replumb the transmission cooler connections for the new pressure senders. Depends on whether I have the right plumbing pieces. Sand and paint the plywood on top of the water tank where the battery cables will be run. Depends on the temperature. Remove rusty tachs and send to Lauderdale Speedo to have the bezels replaced with something that doesn't rot in salt water. This depends on whether they ever answer their phone.
