I hate the Beatles especially that song but I’ll bet by now that sub is yellow inside. The more I researched it what a scam POS the thing was. Let them bolt you into a death tube that was run by a game controller? They probably sitting on the bottom somewhere and they’re getting the pairing unable to connect Bluetooth messages. Looks like they had dot head curry eaters onboard. Methane fire maybe?

Oh my goodness... my cousin Franklin neglected to order the viagra from our cousin Kathy in Bopal when he was on vacation last year and now the entire expedition is doomed. Perhaps we should all face mecca and pray.
Personally, Id be pretty hesitant to go down 15,000 feet in a US navy owned and operated unit.
The pressure at 27.7 inches of water is one psi, so the pressure at 15,000 feet is 6.498 psi. Seawater has a sg of 1.025 so 6,800 psi is a closer figure.
In other words, a spec of porosity in a weld will fail and cause an implosion all in about 1/10 of a second.

If one of the passengers had a whole in his pocket they could escape.

Yeah, it doesn't look good. If they recover anything but body parts it's a miracle.

My 2cents after some thought. They lost comm after 1+45 minutes I doubt they were all that deep by then. I’d bet salt water got to the lithium batteries and they torched up melting all the electrical system.one of the YouTube videos showed the banks of batteries in the tail section. The battery cases didn’t look too sturdy.

Looks like YB got this one right. It imploded. That porous weld may have made down and back a few times, but this one was the last straw.

Implosion can be likened to being in the cylinder of a diesel engine. I'm sure they never knew what hit them. I wonder who is paying for all the resources being deployed and what will continue to be deployed to pick up the pieces.

Carbon fiber is strong but fails with no warning. I saw one report said the guy cheated out on the viewing port. Wasn’t designed for that pressure. Just an sketchy carnival ride.
