I’m surprised how many times this comes up over on the HOF. I’m a disconnect all safety guy. They usually fail at the worst times. I saw in a porta potty when I first started working “isn’t osha a small town in Wisconsin?” The problem is assuming the worst instead of starting with the easy stuff. My dad once bought a 43 Tiara Open with mechanical 550hp 6v92s down at Marco Island and brought it back up to Michigan. It ran great all the way home until he got to Port Huron at the base of Lake Huron. One engine wouldn't start so he called me and I drove over to diagnose it. I found the neutral safety went through a 12v solenoid that was bad. I jumpered it out of the system and it fired right up and we were on our way.
