Overtime? Hell Dave, I thought you were a Brazillionair like the rest of us here LOL... "2 Brazilian Soldiers The Dept of Defense briefed the president this morning. They told President hateful muslim traitor that 2 Brazilian soldiers were killed in Afghanistan. To everyone's surprise, all the color drained from hateful muslim traitor's face. Then he collapsed onto his desk, head in his hands, visibly shaken, almost in tears. Finally, he composed himself and asked, 'Just how many is a brazilian?' This is not surprising, since he obviously has no understanding of billion or trillion either." Are you gonna do the install? Replace all the hardware (one of those while youre in there things) and use a good amount of anti-seize on the stems, glands, and packing. Crank them down and they should be worry free for a few years. Kripes.... they only swing 1/4 turn. Cuius culpa fuit? Im there almost daily now, at least in and out... OJ did a bang up job on the ACR 1000 light and bull horn install. Brite as heck even with low batteries. Hailer worked well, but then crapped out like its a shitty connection. Its a STANDARD LH10 model... SCOTT? Got ant any screamers on a used one of these?? Size matters LOL... Now that its all proven, I need to clean out and fill the old mounting holes with some plugs... Nuttin' to it honey... Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

Hey SKY... the OEM style was always inefficient for sealing. Each pane took like 3 pieces of wood all cut at opposing angles with tons of screws to hold everything in from the top, PLUS all the sub assemblies in the bottom rails that were glued as one piece faile miserably. Its been an ongoing issue with old wood stuff for like 40 years now. It finally made its' crescendo with a total tear out and going in another direction. I know you realize, water and boats dont mix LOL! A few years ago safety glass skyrocketed and each pane was about 75.00... times that now times 8 pcs. at probably 100.00 per and its a small fortune. Always the frugalist... Bill I just bought 3 pieces, 2 for the bridge, 12x36 maybe and the right side windshield, about 30x30 total 324.00 dollars

Hey BB... That was always an argument across the hall... Tempered or safety glass? I always go with safety glass. Tempered will explode on impact and leave a big water-letter-inner with shards all over the floor for the bare footers; safety glass spider webs all over but stays in place. The chances of having to shatter a pane to get out of the cabin are pretty nil. Post some PICS!! Bill...

laminated glass for sure, as you said, it takes more to break tempered but when it goes, its gone. safety glass is still there, and it is what hatteras used so there is that.

Stopped by the boat yesterday for some measurements and saw SADEYS new stuffing box sitting on the floor with an invoice next to it... The new replacement is 3 pcs; box, gland, and self aligning mounting plate. Didnt look to see if theres a new cutlass bearing installed or not. That 18 YO kid doing the job may try to beat the crap outa the old one to re-use it. Look into that Dave! I hope SAMS invoiced YOU for that so theres not a repair mark up on parts they messed up on! Damn thing looks nice! Ill get a pic today; left the camera at home yesterday!
