A DD blower sticking out of the hood would be a good look. Since you mention it,... I've been wondering what to do with this...

I think it's an 8-71, but I'd have to do some homework to be sure.

Factory manuals cost more than the car today it’s ridiculous how much they went up. Even used eBay ones are crazy. Hate them if you want, but Rot Auto sent me these for $60 including tax and shipping. F-in' NICE books.

Yer pretty lucky... The set I bought for the '64 Buick was a xeroxed copy, blurry as hell and all the pages still had copied the hole punchings and they were on the page edges. They were inserted backerds. Chinaman no leedy ingrish. Keep those in the crapper and refer tp them often LOL... ws

Renee inherited the 2011 sub from her dad when he passed. I went to order the factory manuals and got sticker shock. I’ve been getting by with the Chiltons. The frame and front end has PA rot so bad the brake rotors actually look like they’re delaminating. My moms cars were the same way. If you get them covered in road salt and don’t drive enough to wash it off in the rain and what not it all turns to rot. The damp garages don’t help. I always hated when you got a warm day opened the garage door and the entire car inside outside all turned to sweat. I used to crank the torpedo heater up to 90 in the workshop so all my toolboxes and tools didn’t instantly sweat.

Pat always freaks out when I do an undercarriage rinse for free; a 30 mph blast through a foot deep pond on the road. Still have problems with brake and fuel line rust-out up here, but when its cold, the humidity is lowwwww. Why is it so high in PA? ws

I guess the age, and the fact that it's a Corvette instead of a Studebaker has something to do with it.
The publisher is Detroit Iron and it's a licensed reprint. Very nicely done on heavy paper. It's probably as good quality a GM dealer got.
We have the same thing here with rust. Unfortunately, there was a period after Sandy when I wasn't driving the truck very much and that's when the rust started to gain momentum. I'm trying to use it more often. Particularly in the rain. I don't know if it's slowing the rot down or just because I'm paying more attention so it's not a "Holy $#it where did that hole come from?"
And naturally, when do I use the truck the most. In the snow. Because four-wheel drive.
