Did not see a travelog, so I am starting this thread. Here is a link to my online album of the Hawaii trip 1drv.ms/1f0q5CQIf you see something there that interests you, let me know and I will add a post that explains it and post the pics individually. With 386 photos, I just did not know where to start.

What did you think of Oahu? It looks like the Arizona is leaking more oil than when we went in 1991. Did you go to the International Market?
Anymore pictures of the volcano? ppat

Im so glad you got the surrender plaque picture... Im surprised spike lee hasnt done something to desecrate that spot. Ive always like going to places where history happened and putting my hands on exactly the same spots that were touched by certain famous (and infamous)persons of history and photographed. Looks like you guys really had a chance to enjoy yourselves; but where did the Grecian formula come from (or go to??)? -)) ws

Beautiful scenery there, but I'd rather be looking at pics of your beautiful 53 on the lakes!

Very nice! Looks like a fun time was had. I see you managed to find a boat for us to look at anyway: Rybovitch? And did you catch anything? Nice pics of the Missouri too. I love how the beginning and end of WWII are right next to each other, and yet it all took place over tens of thousands of miles. Thanks for sharing

Did not see a travelog, so I am starting this thread. The travelogue is a sticky thread in "Nautical Lore" I could add this to that if you'd like.

Anymore pictures of the volcano? ppat I'm not a fan of the big city so Oahu was not really my thing. I did enjoy seeing the Arizona and the Missouri. The International Market is being torn down and replaced by a new Neiman Marcus store.

Thanks for sharing Yes, I rode on the first Rybovich that was put together with epoxy. It's a 1956, I believe and on it's 5th set of Cummins. And no, we did not catch anything. The wind was wrong and wasn't bringing in the fish. There were 9ft swells out there, but they were so long that it seemed almost flat. It was a very nice boat ride anyway.
