This is a two wheel unit for gas/wire only, I think. Are you also using flux core? This is probably a 1980 model. I was tossing this your way in case you needed an extra beater machine. If I put it on ebay, what do you think its worth? ws

When I'm trying to see what something is worth on e-bay I use advanced search and look at completed listings for similar items. That way you see what things actually sold for, and not somebody's fantasy of a minimum bid.

Is it voltage sensing (works on any CV machine) or does it require a control cable and a true MIG machine?

Im pretty sure it will run on any constant voltage machine... Ill hafta dig into that if yer interested... If you mig aluminum, I believe you need a CVCC machine which is what my toy Miller 185 with a spoolmatic gun runs. ws

Check and see if it has a seperate control cable or if it runs on the the welding machines out put line. It's going to be worth more if it's voltage sensing or runs on the machines out put line because anyone with a stick welding machine can use it.

I know theres a 2 conductor wire from the gun to the umbilical connection on the suitcase; Pretty sure that turns the feeder on and off with the trigger. You can see the connections on the pics above. Theres another 4 pin connector from the box to the welding machine. Its been 20 years since this was run and I really dont recal the machine. I think it was a Big D2 or a Trailblazer 400 (both Miller) diesel machines. I really hate getting rusty on this stuff when I used to be good! Lifes never simple is it? ws

Yeah that's got to be plugged into a MIG machine. Duuno what its worth. I would price new and go for 1/3 of that.
