I love the talking heads on the news saying the same old crap. "how many children have to die before they do something" I've got an idea if you really want to see less of these then SHUT UP. One of the reasons people do this is for they're 15 minutes of fame. Main stream news gives them 2 weeks 24/7 of fame. No one needs to know what this guys 4 grade teacher thought of him. Ideally we should know there was a shooting the guys in custody and that's it no names no recognition no fame. You would see less of these.

100%. Also, as we all know, every mechanism was in place to either stop or minimize this. And not one piece of it worked. There's that old saw about there being no such thing as an accident, but a chain of mistakes leading to a disaster. If ever there was a solid chain of incompetence this is it.

So, let me get this straight: We trusted government to protect us from the crazy kid and they failed at the school, the local sheriff's office, the public health department, the FBI, etc, etc. And now, we should trust the government to come up with more laws and bureaucracy to protect us since what we already had in place failed miserably. Isn't this the definition of insanity?

What I would like to see is a shotgun in a locked case in every classroom where the kids see it everyday. Then train the teachers that are willing and able to be trained how to use it. When the crazy mental video-game-headed killer is in the school, you direct your class into the corner while you unlock the case and train the shotgun on the door. Chances are you'll never have to use it because everyone will know its there and the bad guys will probably find a softer target. No need for conceal carry or the chance that a teacher forget where they left their pistol. No real accuracy involved here and less chance of collateral damage. We don't need 45's going through walls. Just a good ole cheap shotgun should do the trick. Safe, cheap, effective.
I'll bet many a teacher in the old one-roomed school house had his shotgun sitting the corner everyday. Lets go back to the good ole days. But that makes too much sense so you know it'll never happen.

Bath, Michigan is just up the road from me. I remember hearing about the massacre there since I was a kid.

The largest mass shootings in history were all committed by governments against an unarmed populace. After those Norway takes the prize a place were it is almost impossible for a citizen to own a gun. It's so predictable and so pathetic. A senator is calling for a $2 per bullet tax. So lets see I want to shoot up a school and I don't care if I end up dead or end up spending the rest of my life in prison but $200 on ammunition NO WAY. So I think I'll forget that idea and pursue a career in politics. HOW DO THESE PEOPLE GET ELECTED? ? Brian

Why do my question marks get changed into sad face icons ?? Men who use icons have an 87% chance of being gay. Brian
