Gotta blame it on something, so Ill blame it on WASHINGTON! Due to financial constraints, and a proverbial "bite thats bigger than I can chew", Ive decided to put the HATT TRICK up for adoption. Everyone knows the story, so Ill just ad that I have a clear title in hand with no liens or encumbrences. Theres 600 gallons of fuel onboard and delivery can be arrainged in the spring for expenses. COST??? I paid 51,101.01 for the boat plus another 50-75K into it with a cross country move, storage, insurance, and IMPROVEMENTS... Take it from there; plus Ill rebate 2% of the sale price to anyone that helps find a new owner. Realistically, I'd like 100K but somewhere in the 50-60K range would be do-able. As always, trades in southern property, vintage vehicles, or a shorter (!) boat plus cash considered! Ideas and input is always welcomed! ws IMG]http://i55.tinypic.com/21mxlxw.jpg[/IMG]

Bill, I know it was not an easy decision, but it makes the most sense. Keeping a big boat at a distant location is inconvienient and gets very expensive. Not to mention the effort of maintaining two boats. Good luck with the sale, that is the stressfull part.

Thanks Dave... your trials and tribulations are always at the forefront when I think about this! I actually have a tentative buyer, and with things the way they are today, I guess its a good thing. The price is just about what I paid for it. Not good, not bad. I had a lot of fun running CC (cross country) and with a fresh sale from my house was pigmentally gifted individual rich. "It was the best of times; It was the worst of times..." Sooo, being 200 miles away, with lotsa storage accruing, and almost certain deterioration occuring especially with all the work, time, and money thats gone into it, its time to part ways. All I can say is the potential buyer is intimately familiar with the boat and is looking at a long term retirement plan which ultimately means the Tampa area. If this deal doesnt happen, Ill end up putting it on E-sodom (!) and will hafta deal with all that... Just an FYI... heres your golden opportunity to have an affordable live aboard summer home up this way! Anyway, thanks for the emotional support! The old Roamer will suffice... shes been good to me for 36 years! ws Sure gonna miss all the fun being at the caucasianally challenged individual Bar LOL!!!

Bill, many of us are in similar situations. We all know how hard you woked on her, and the care you put into her. Best of luck.

I didnt know which wouldve been better... repower Capn' Randy's boat or use his for parts. IMG]http://i54.tinypic.com/2cp3og9.jpg[/IMG] Wouldve been a helluva triple engine triple cabin eh? So the prospective buyer lurks here. Maybe he'll give us some input as "his" show progresses. He already asked me to help deliver the boat down south. A new legacy for sure! ws

I'm sure it's heartbreaking after all that went into her. We've followed so much of her rebirth I feel like we're losing a family member.
Unfortunately sometimes we have to make these decisions. I ended up having to part with my father's boat after he passed away. It broke my heart to do it, but it was ultimately the best thing for both of us (the boat and me).
I wish you the best of luck finding her a good home.

Wow that Sucks but I had a feeling since its been sitting so much and you moving then playing around with cars! I was ready to bust your balls about it sitting but knew must have been eating at you to let that happen. Lots of sweat, blood, love and $$$$ went into her.
I do understand your choice your not the first one to do it an not the last.
I thank my buddy that talked me into my 34C he said don't go any bigger it just right for the two of you. Man he was right would love bigger but just to many boat bucks more. Mine still just plenty but I don't have to stop living to support her.
