I was touring the web looking for info on FDNY's old boats, some of which I have done work on, and came across this site that has build pictures of the new boats that will replace the Fire Fighter and the John D. McKean. Both of those boats are over 50 years old and the new boats are quite impressive. 50,000 GPM pumping capacity. I know the 343 has already arrived in NY and the Fire Fighter II is almost done. I'm still going to miss the original 1938 Fire Fighter and her shiny-as-new Cleveland diesels. Anyway, I thought some of you might find the step-by-step of how to build a modern fireboat interesting: www.nycfireboat.com/index.php?mod=threefortythree

I didn't make it clear, if you click on each of the pictures it opens an album that has more detailed photos. Sorry.
