Rails have all been varnished with 3 maintenance coats. New horns are installed. And I'm making up new lifelines for the bow. I had all of the coated cable and ends but when I went to remove the old cables, all of the turnbuckles were frozen up. So, now I have the new parts here and I'll get that all together this weekend. Good thing I found my swaging tool.
We're also working on installing a 50amp inlet on the bow Mark's 60C so he doesn't have to pull out 80' of cord when he bows in to a slip. I have drilled the hole in the side of the pulpit for the receptacle. But running the wire has been a chore. We ripped out all of his carpet down below looking for hatches and access to run this wire. We found that the 500 gallon water tank has a new-er top fiberglassed on it. I guess someone over pressurized it at some point. The repair looks okay but they cut out and replaced some of the floor cross members and that work is less than ideal. So we'll probably redo or beef that up while we're in there. As we run the wire we're also going to put the Hart Tank Tender lines in to all of tanks since we're in there anyway.
One other project is new trim tabs on my boat. So far I'm just waiting for the yard guy to fiberglass in the old tab area that was recessed into the hull so I can then mount the new tabs on the transom. More on that as it progresses.

Zip wake? I saw some newer ones at the Stuart show supposedly better than the zips

Zip wake? I saw some newer ones at the Stuart show supposedly better than the zips I think I need the extra length more than anything. Adding traditional tabs to the transom instead of having them as part of the hull effectively give more planing surface area and act like extra waterline length.

Yes and no.
I've installed zipwakes and had great results.
It's a great upgrade to tabs.

I like the self leveling feature. You give it the correct running angle once and it adjusts any time you run.
We put them on a 44 foot dayboat that gained 4 kts and planed more efficiently at lower rpm.

Once at that point minimal adjustments can be made if necessary.

These have an active angle it maintains at cruise.
It keeps the boat level bow to stern and integration into the MFD can show effects of speed on efficiency etc.

Every picture on their site is of a center console of 30' or less. And on further investigation, I only see models that are for boats up to 35' listed.
