So some perserverence paid off. DURAMAX is the manufacturer and HUMCO is the wholesaler. Just got off the phone with sales and they quoated me at $84.15 each plus the bullshit of course! Everywhere else was from 99.99 to 125.00 each. I need 3. One gets cut in half for the intermediate strut. Hopefully the shafts can last another 20 years or the oven, whichever comes first LOL... These are the go-to guys for this stuff... Duramax Code ELLEN... Drop ship Factory Stock can ship out Jan 2nd 2024 3 ea 84.18 252.54T Thanks for the hint SKY! The first time I did this was in 1982 and CC used bronze shell bearings in an aluminum strut. That job necessitated an inverted hacksaw blade in the frame and a sawzall to relieve the corrosion; PLUS destroy the remnants. The job sucked. Even the 2" Hatteras shafts were easier.

Still too pricey but with Bide-nomics, what do you expect. Just glad you found them and at a discount.

I would almost say "normal" except I'm not sure I have the same ambition to get things accomplished. Is that age or COVID? Either way, I'm going to have to work on improving that.

Yer still young kid! Probably the covid. Im suffering from whats called Long Covid. Theres a serious lack of drive and a lot of stuff seems left handed for the lack of a better description. Sleeping patterns have changed and after 65 years of little dreaming, it now seems I have several vivid dreams nightly that I can remember and are definitely in color. Lotsa boat and power plant stuff. Dont let it get to ya, just manage it. I guess everyone is different, or so they say, so theres no pat answer. Try not to become a couch potato. Set the bar lower for an easier jump.

The boats are 75’ from the back door and I still have trouble finding the time to make the trip. Hopefully now the back yard is back to grass and not a mud pit maybe I can get back to the bulkhead project. My shop now is filled with boxes of leftover parts from all the projects. I took a couple boxes of misc fittings back to Lowe’s and got a $250 credit.

I hafta use Retards altho Lowes is an option too. Retards doesnt require a reciept unless you want CASH back, money back on the Big Card, and at the least store credit. Plus all the 12% off shit, but Ive made several 100-200 returns from all the house projects. I drop the shit off and let the monkeys restock!
