So I picked up an American LaFrance V12 firetruck gas motor; two distributors, 24 plugs etc etc... Lookingh for a woody project for it. SKY was good enough to investigate this one. A nice juicy pattern boat. We are thinking $500. Thoughts?? Either a sinker or a show stopper. Ideas?? Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

When you say "pattern", you mean to use as a pattern to build another boat, right?
You did a nice job on the engine. Looks way better than when you pulled it out of that field. 😉

Yeah... the HOG is high and dry. Bilge plug is out so all thats left is winterizing and shrink wrapping. Just had a 2 inch Basil Cell Carcinoma cut outa my back, so OJ is gonna get the whole job this year. he's in line to inherit the boat so he better learn how to do it now LOL...
The "pattern" deal is one of a few case scenarios; just chunks of wood for patterns, or patterns to replace wood thats gawn. Id love to build the whole schlameel but thats a ton of work and I dont know if Im that good. The boat pictured above has all the hardware and geometry done. Straight pipes vertically outa the deck house; gonna call it TWELVE ALARM... all available units respond to the blaze at 99th and YANG-YANG... Theres a youtube of a job with a V12 Packard strolling along at about 50 mph at 2000 rpm. Thats a natural with about 1350 horsepower. When I see it again, Ill post it here.

Maybe something in polished aluminum art deco-ish, but its gotta be either a sinker or a show stopper...The aluminum job is the HORNET owned by Howie Hughes... Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted
