Figgered its time to start a new thread and quit hogging into everybody elses. As mentioned in PE class (at least its on this side of the hall!) got the American LaFrance V12 (J model) firetruck engine unloaded, oiled up with PB Blaster (shes a little stuck) and some of the acillary equipment back on so its accounted for. Step son Scott was helping and had a 200 LB head in place; I soun around to go get a big #3 Phillips to use as a guide dowel and my toe caught t he 100 LB water pump on the floor. I went flying into 20 tuns full of shit and my BIG cast iron table saw. I felt like an asshole. Happy one year anniversary from the cootie diagnosis. I still aint quite got it all back yet, but struggle to find it every day. I feel like such a klutz! "Fully dressed" this critter is supposed to weigh in at about 1200 lbs. This guy weighs ALL of that! 527 cubic inches, 215 ponies, and 700 pounds of torque all in at 3000 spins. All the fasteners are SAE (fine thread) and grade 8. "THE MONSTER !! IT LIVES!!!" Ive been seeing McColluch belt driven superchargers on these. Already have an adapter manifold in the head for a cross over with a 1050CFM 3 barrell, or TWO! Every one of these were spec'd out differently; most with 2 single hole strombergs but generally speaking, all in the area of about 400 CFM total. Each hole is about 44 C.I. Can ya help with some math? 7.5:1 compression and 3200 rpm on the gubnah. I wanna see chrome pipes and black stacks poking outa the roof!
