anyone know of an easy way to fill stripped out holes in fiberglass? some of my rubrail screws are stripped out.. i remember seeing something like cold weld that mixed the two parts as it came out of the end of a syringe type cartridge but cant remember the name.. was hoping to shoot something like this in the stripped holes then redrill the next day

West Epoxy sells syringes that you can load with thickened epoxy and inject into holes.
Blind holes are tricky if you don't start injecting from the bottom they get a bubble which ends up as a void. Through holes are tricky because the stuff just leaks out the other side.
So what have we learned here? All holes are problems. Big ones, small ones, ones that climb on rocks. Fat ones, skinny ones, even ones with chicken pox....

If your trying to do it with the rail still on you need a syringe and needle and inject some slightly thickened west system epoxy in the hole. Tape over the hole first. Better off to remove the rail and drill out the holes and fill them completely then redrill

OK so i used a tony chachere's meat injector syringe without the needle, it goes about 3/8 of an inch into the hole. i mixed JB weld and put it into the syringe and started deep and worked my way out squeezing the cold weld in the hole, put a piece of tape over it after filled so it doesnt try to run out (i think it is thick enough that it wont) gonna drill tomorrow and see what happens, if it doesnt hold i'm only out 5 bucks

Thats about the best approach you can make there Bill...In 1985, my "exspurt" carpenter removed all the chrome plate silicone bronze Reed and Prince machine screws in the stainless to aluminum gun'l in favor of stainless screws. Unbeknownst to me, after a week of him struggling I found him to have forced WOOD screws in their stead. KRIPES! I still have butchered holes that like to strip out on occasion. JB seems to be the resolve!

the jb weld worked great, i put just as much torque on the jb weld holes as i did on all others, none stripped..i even had some that the old screw broke off so i had to drill it out leaving a much larger hole, the jb weld worked great there too
