Looking at the Cutlass reminded me that my grandfather had a Vista Cruiser station wagon. I'd have to look, but I'd say around a '71 plus or minus a year. A lot like the one from That '70s Show. I have a lot of fond memories of that car. Mostly from trips to his house upstate, a.k.a. The Farm. Spent a lot of time there growing up. The place next door was a dairy farm and we'd always be doing something there. Milking cows, driving tractors, bailing hay etc. It was a great experience growing up. I remember the roof window leaked like a sieve, but it was pretty cool otherwise. Things like the tailgate that would either fold down or swing sideways were a mechanical marvel to me. I got my license just a couple of years before it went to the shredder so I got to drive it a couple of times. Rocket engine, you're not kidding. It wasn't a muscle car, but it sure has good pick up.

A pals mom had a 1970 Dynamic 88 with a 455 and he'd just rev that puppy and the front left fender would pick up a good 4 inches... ALMOST as much torque as a Buick...
Ppats in for it now. She's been beating the NOVA drum for 5 years and I think Ill look around for a NOVA SS454. Pardon MOI??? ws

Maybe in a different color: Wheels and tires look a little sketchy for that kind of HP.

Dog Dish caps are cool but NOT a 307! At least a 396 Dark blue, SS with black buckets. ws

We had one of them with the stick on wood grain tailgate. I took my road test in that car. Brian

This one was a sort of copper brown color with the vinyl wood too. Typical of my grandparents it had no A/C and an AM radio. But I will still never forget that car. They ended up replacing it with a K car when the frame succumbed to the salt. Still no A/C and AM only.

POLYGLASS GOODYEAR's G-70-14's. Back when tire size was simple! I actually looked with a magnifying glass and wasn't sure about the 396! Lots of weird clones out there! Ppat must not have seen my post above! NEEDS BUCKETS! ws
