Yeah I don’t know funny how the ship veered for the main support. Kinda reminds me of the World Trade Center. But the FBI says no chance it was terrorisim. Was that Mayday or Allah akbar they were calling?

I have to admit, this whole thing leaves me mystified. Electric power comes from generators, propulsion comes from the main engine. No ship I've ever worked on had power coming from propulsion or vise-versa. I wonder if our increasing reliance on electronics has caused this problem. However, I would still be baffled as to why there would be no battery backup for critical controls if they are electronic.

I noticed what appeared to be an increase in speed at about the same time of the turn. You see the black exhaust increase like the main engine went to full throttle as the rudder went hard over. This could all be a fly-by-wire system gone bad. We've seen recreational boats that have been sitting in a lift well and the throttle mysteriously goes to full, in gear and smashes the front of the well and it's blamed on the electronic controls. Why not a similar problem in this case? The default of a failure should be to go to neutral and center the rudder.

One of the tug requirements at least on the lakes is that if the ship goes black you never come back. No wait, if the dock lines dont fit you must... Nope not that either.BUT, If the ship does go black, theres supposed to be a 10 minute battery reserve to run compressors for clutch air and 125VDC for steering. The batteries on the "tug I run" (!!) are about 50%. USCG has never had the stopwatch out but it wouldnt surprise me in a port like BM (!) the COI inspection would require a test. Just sayin'...

Cyber hacking onboard systems is a great method of commandeering a ship like this; along with off-watch timing and a perfect bulls-eye on the weakest link on the structure hitting OUR infrastructure below the belt. We are already stocking up on our essentials. Havent heard from the two Baltimore Pilots yet. Are they quarantined?

And the union lawyer has told them to say nothing. They don't want this pinned on them so going into hiding is a great move. Next question is, is it too late? The Chinaman has most likely embedded sleeper technology in everything they make. Their circuit boards are in everything. How long until they decide to turn it all against us? Joe probably got the call (oh wait, he's not in charge so someone took the call) from China and they said hey you messed around in the S. China Sea and we told you there would be consequences, now look at what we can do.
