Happy Thanksgiving everyone! So much to be Thankful for; a year ago things were pretty lousy for us (especially me!). Still grateful every day for the help you guys sent my way! That helped in MANY MANY ways! So after a tear at the Munster Mansion, things are getting in order. Old house has new siding and 75% new windows and doors, cleaned up a semi load of shit outa the back yard (junk and brush) and have the new mancave at about the 90% completion point. It 'll finish off next week then its time to paint the floor and move in. Have a bobcat dude coming in tomorrow to grade and fill the slab, and Ill pick up some small stuff left over etc. Pat's with her daughter in law in Champaign for the weekend. She lost her oldest son before I met her, so the tribe all converges there for turkey. I get to stay home and watch the dogs. Speaking of; two of the three are "en guarde" Boston Terrorizing the builders LOL... They all had a good laugh The guys and the dogs!). The new shop is on a 26 X 34 slab. Finally the BOFG will have room to dance! So far the slab was a day to frame and pack, a day to pour and float. The building is at about 12 hours X a crew of four. Two hours of grading tomorrow and then a day of rest. God Bless everyone of of you especially Tiny Tim! Probably have a strong chance of selling the HATT TRICK if some one from here keeps his nose (beak??) out of it LOL... The prospective buyer seems like a righteous dude. We've had MANY long chats about the whole thing PLUS he's even a shrimpin' boat cap'n from right by Girdle Beach.

happy thanksgiving to all Happy Thanksgiving This year I totally changed things up and grilled a Guinness marinaded Beef Tenderloin instead of Turkey. And I'll have to say, it was delicious. I like Turkey and stuffing and mashed potatoes and all of that, but I can't say I missed it.

Happy belated Thanksgiving everyone. I spent 3 days in Illinios. I only had 1 blow out yesterday when I had to go back to my old stomping grounds to see my brother, grandson and his family. Hard to believe I have 2 great grand daughters.
I think I made my grandson think a little about making me drive an extra 2 hours each way just to spend time with his family. Especially since he moved to my old city. I don't have fond memories of "home". It was in Lockport, Il that I found out my son (his dad) died. It was in Lockport my husband died. And so many other bad memories I want to forget.
Of course, I also lived in Lockport when I met Willy. Life is GRAND in Two Rivers.

Don’t forget to run air and 220 for welder. I have air chucks everywhere even down at the dock. One mistake I made was not putting a welder receptacle outside. I used plywood on the vertical walls so I could screw to it to mount stuff ran all the romex in conduit so I wouldn’t hit it with a screw later. They’re some beefy trusses. I guess snow load is a big factor there

YEAH BUDDY! 100 amp service for the 220 MIG and air stuff. Woodja believe I have 4-5 decent air compressors "strategically" placed around the compound? Buried NG line for the heat (already have a 78% furnace). Saved a ton of plywood with 2x4s from the wreck we tore down and always looking for free lumber. 2x4s up here are anout $6-7.00! I have a 40 foot run for the wire which makes it call for #4 copper or #2 aluminum UNF (direct burial) in PVC for rodent protection... Doing some decent epoxy paint on the floor and the insulation which sux(!) and once thats up firring strips as battens with the air stapler. Actually looking forward to this! THEN some honest work'll begin!

Looks really good.
Do you have enough headroom for a lift in there?

I was inline for the billion dollar lottery the other week and girl behind me asked what are you going to do if you win. I said build a bigger shop. Gave me a puzzled look and said oh ok.
