"What has this world become...?", is the understatement here. On the record, I dont go looking for trouble, and if Ive ever felt threatened I defuse the situation myself by leaving the scene. Ive never felt the need to carry, ever. When the moment arises, you have a nano-second to decide which direction you want your life to go.
If these were normal times, a push to the ground wouldve ended it. Period. However, with the brazen lack of self control, and, "Poor Parenting", the likelihood of being on the ground and getting stomped on, and having other tribal members see this and joining in on a war dance are pretty damn good.
So Mcglockton got maGlocked after being a bad ass in front of his bitch, and got goodified. I cant believe the shooter got 30 years for manslaughter. Was that a "Stand your ground" incident. Id like to think so, but I dont live in the hood in Florida. Brian, Id appreciate that from a locals' point of view.
In Wisconsin, we have the "Castle Law" which makes you held accountable for Glockin' a shit head droolin' on your wife at 3 a.m. in a locked house. It all sucks and theres no alternative. With new laws here, I can now carry a switch blade with an unlimited blade length with no permit, yet need a permit for a nightstick or a taser. A warning shot or one to wound only puts you at further risk. Laws are fucked up. I did the CC thing to be on record (statistically) to show support for Constitutional Rights. No more, no less. Id be pretty god damned hard pressed to shoot someone. I still believe a warning shot is fair, but the law sees it as a non life threatening situation (actually one thats already diffused/diffusing).
So now, just to have this card in my wallet, Im being bombarded by groups selling Legal Counsel insurance. $500 a year, but they provide 2-1/2M in legal counsel, bail money etc etc. Here's some stuff to read...I recommend the LAST link to see how our side really feels about Life Skills". ws

You will enjoy this history of the Michigan Castle Doctrine. Our law here has more protection for the homeowner. And the history of the first case is indeed interesting being that the case was heard on Mackinac Island.
