Hey Members. I picked up a Carolina Skiff 16DLX. It has Zero Electronics. I have a VHF for it, but a gps or plotter thing with Depth would be a nice addition to the boat. I plan on using it as a pull behind dinghy and grocery getter. Anyone have anything for sale? Kiwi Here are some pic's

Someone gave me a small Lowrance GPS that he took off of something but I have no idea if it's any good. When I get to work Monday I'll try powering it up and see if it can find itself.

Scott, that looks like a good deal. The State of the Art changes so damn fast I can't keep up with a good or bad deal, I avoid buying and selling boat electronics like the plague, I just don't know enough.
In My world $500 is a lot spend on this boat, I'm already in over $5k, for Me that's alot. I figure the Merc is worth $3500 so I can sleep at nite.
Willy, when I first turned those led's on That is the first thing I thought, Green on one side and Red on the other, but No. . . Both Green. The PO name really did end in "ski"
Derek, I would certainly appreciate You checking that out. Thanks!
Krush, We're on the same page. Most of us on here are Hoarders and I know that tucked away in somebody's garage is a suitable unit collecting dust that may need only a little trinket or two to get it up and working. That's when I'll hit up Scott's stash of goody's!

JEFFERSONSKI Just a stupid story... An EX pal (with a 100 ton masters BTW) inherited a 1965 17 foot Century Coronado ski boat with a 427 Ford tri-power motor, in the family since bought new in '65... He did a beautious job of stripping , sanding and varnishing the entire boat. So We are out on the river one night, and I asked the "CAPTAIN", "Quick quiz; what color light is on the port side?". "Uhhhhh, RED!" was his reply. I told him he'd better look at his bow lights cause his were backerds. He swore up and down that fixture was never off the boat or apart in any way. It was a factory F-U and actually pretty difficult to swap the lens. Ya know that could've caused a catastrophic fuck up. FOR TWENTY YEARS NO LESS! Then there was a spade following us into Cal Harbor from a fire works show one 4th of July at 2 a.m. This shithead was 500 yards behind me with both docking lights and searchlight going (sweeping no less!) to see where he was going and blinding the shit outa me. Just like in the movie "They were expendable" I almost had to give the order "Shoot at his lights"... Whats that thing on top of the arch and the bow for Nice install too. Is there a sub woofer sound bar built into that thing up front too? I might have to order you a Jamaican ensign for when you haul that up to the UP to join us at Fayette this summer. Luv ya man! ws

The Jamaica ensign would be well deserved. The PO was using the boat as a bow fisher on the Wisconsin River. The arch/handle mount light is a Cordless remote Xenon spot with lots of candlepower, run out of a lighter socket, it's probably twice as bright as the spot on the Carver. Very impressive.
The lite forward is an LED light bar that is also very bright. Again the "state of the art" as passed Me by.
The rotational, multi colored, module driven, speaker grill and strip lights, are no doubt manufactured by the Curtiss James Company out of Chicago. . . You may remember them from an older product that put them on the map. Curb Feelers.
Ahhh, My kingdom, for a set of Vogues!

I remember Vogues as well... steel belted NON RADIAL tires. I swapped a set between two 1967 Impalas I had and didn't mark them. They turn the wrong direction and the belts would shift. It was bad enough to rattle the retinas; YIKES! Got spinners on the trailer wheels yet? Use Johnson Products for a seal coat on the fiberglass LOL... ws
