Come on now guys there is a simple solution to all this.
Just don your handy dandy diving gear and have at it. Just think, goggles protect your eyes, fresh air, wet suit to protect your skin, flippers to fan away the fumes, bc to keep you from bumping into anything, your dive computer to tell you exactly how long the job took. Your dive knife to cut you away from any entanglements, or cut your way out through the side in a real emergency. You can also use the same equipment to repair core problems from inside, and also work on that plugged up head.

You forgot the most important thing of all. A vapor proof bathing cap. Acid fumes dissolve synthetic hair.
