Verry EEnterestink ! So without pulling this one apart yet (I recommended not making any adjustments without a warmed up engine) there appears to be two adjusters; one on the side and one on the top. They both have square head screws with a hex jam nut. Oil appears pretty clean. Theres also a "bar" that seems to be like a counterweight (it swings to the straight down position when released). Pardon the fat fingers, but they are holding up all the linkage for the photo op LOL. Just above the governor is a ledge where the engine room control/bridge disconnect is situated.. Throttle and clutch can be control from downstairs. Is that where commanding the stop plate comes into play? The yard that we are working for gave us a pair of Racor 1000s with what appears to be the same size AN 12(?) supply hose. I figured 30Mc elements in those and an Individual on engine 500 with a 4-5 Mc element? View AttachmentView AttachmentView Attachment The screw in the side will be the high speed stop screw, or high idle. The one in the top will be low idle. I have no idea what all that crap hanging off the throttle lever is. The stop plate I'm referring to is under the cover that says Woodward on it. It's splined onto the throttle shaft and hits the two screws at each end of it's travel. It's also possible that there are two under there depending on the range of motion required.

YAY!! New filters! TWO are gonna run 30 MIC filters and two are gonna run 5-10 filters... All four are RACOR 1000's Thoughts?? All equipment running is consuming about 60-70 gallons per hour. The black christmas tree (kwanzaa bush !) is the LONG primaries and the small secondaries Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

The rebuild kits just showed up. I needed to clean them before they go back in and as long as I've got them apart, I figured I'd put all new o-rings/seals in them.

Check the float balls to make sure theyre dry as well. In theory, they are supposed to float in any water and close of the flow to the injectors, rails (DDs) or pumps on most others...Are there spin on secondaries?

Had the USCG examiner come down and grant Bart a towing endorsement. He's a fill in relief capt. on the 1000 footers on the lake (unlimited Master) but no towing endorsement. A few moves around the harbor was the test. I guess we are are all gonna get ABS certs ( and an unlimited QMED #1 engineer for me) from this guy in a "proctored exam". Pretty simple process once yer in "the loop". Hmmm. The QMED pays 550.00 per day. IM IN!! 10 days and we'll be back in the running!

Yes, filtration will be as follows: 1) Dual Racors with vacuum gauges 2) Cat spin-on primary with electronic monitoring and integrated priming pumps (not sure what this does but assume it alerts on screen for water or restricted flow) 3) on-engine cat canister secondary

And Im still damned proud to have to (or be able to?) pay for Achmeds fleet of Rolls Royces and the 200 or so BILLION DOLLAR YACHTS from the middle of a God Damn desert. Then theres the two of the worlds greatest benefactors... That retarded old fuck in D.C. and the dicktaster from Russia. Gas went up 30 cents in an hour yesterday here. Im sure every station here had empty tanks and all were refilled to the top with more expensive fuel. WE ARE ALL BEING PLAYED AND I FOR ONE AM GETTING PRETTY FED UP WITH IT ! Just a few thoughts. The pic is from Esky last week. Seems no one at all likes this guy except that shitty ruskie. WE, as AMERICAN VOTERS need to really, totally, revamp the entire system. I said this when the Tea party started to steam roll but somebody forgot to keep water in the boiler. Making a 3 day tugboat trip to Indiana Harbor Tomorrow morning. Gonna burn 15,000 in fuel plus wages for 5. Boats gonna get launched probably Monday. Let us pray... ws Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

During the 70’s my Dad used to say better buy it now because tomorrow the price will go up. I’m putting in a new sea wall While things are dug up I m going to run a pipe chase along the bulkhead so I can pull or fish any additional pipes or wires I might need later. I settled on 3” DWV was $13 per 10’ I was on the bike so I went back with the truck the next day it was $19 tube of caulk that was $6 is now $13 it’s just sick.
