this was one of the forward two windows that were mounted from the inside against the mahogany walls, that used to be there,,,,,,the location of the worse leaks and most of the wood damage this was super hard, dried caulk of some type or pure epoxy, not sure Had a tough time getting this off before I could even wire brush, which is what I discovered did the best at removing the gunk. The fine wire brushing did give a good bonding service though for making the repairs

another of the chipping process,,,,about 3/16 to 1/4 thick One of the worse corners,,,,but thankfully on one of the windowss that I am going to trim down to fit from the outside so most of that will be eliminated Had a nice wire brush sheen to them after I finished the outside

for the most part the exteriors and interior portions of the windows had only slight raised spots, specks, on them. the mounting services were the worse. the one on the left brushed, the other not

As you can tell I have a lot of corrosion. I've got all the frame outsides cleaned up pretty good. I still have to go back and do all the tracks, pretty much the same way as I did the outsides, except had to change tooling. Finally just took a wire brush tool in 4" grinder and just cut as much residue and oxide as will come off. I still have a few fuzzies to get out and a couple of the PO installed tracks, that you can see laying on the floor. Just about all that crap came out of 4 big windows and 4 small windows plus what I had already cleaned up or trashed. The two front salon windows were the worst, with the most corrosion damage. Thankfully those are the two that will get cut down to install from the outside , instead of the inside. therefore most of the damage will be eliminated.
