Heres a virtual cigar to everbody... we just adopted a baby boy boston terrier today! :smokn :smokn :smokn The PO named him Bear, which didnt fit, so we were gonna call him Beaner (came from a mexican chick), that didnt fly and we settled on Beano, but when Ppat slipped today, BONER came out and that stuck. THAT name really fits... I cant wait to take him to the vet and ENNUNCIATE his name clearly in a crowded office... "Aw.. he's so cute. What do you call him?" "He's my little BONER." After that we took off with a 6 X 12 enclosed trailer and picked up THIRTY plastic 55 gallon barrels for $4 each. Im gonna need to get the Roamer out from the wall into deeper channel water. Im gonna build 3 - 12 foot X 6 foot sections here, launch them and bolt it solid into a 6 X 36 foot dock. Itll get chained to the verticals in place now so itll float with water fluctuations. I know you guys follow my Great Lakes Lore thread about low water here. ws The kid wouldnt sit still at 4 months DOB 1-1-2013 In Chicago we'd have become members of the B.O.B. Thats the brotherhood of the barrel where the shines all hang around a fire barrel trying to keep warm with a bottle in a paper sack... ws

Only problem is Boner has never been trained to go outside. Plus, they have no shot records so we get to start at the beginning. 1st thing tomorrow I am going to get him in to see if he needs de-wormed....sucker is way to skinny.''''ppat

Looks like we have something else in common, Willie. I guess I've adopted my late brother's Boston terrier, Cletus. Seems he's been really depressed, and my sister-in-law thought me and the boy could bring a little sunshine into this life.
So far, so good, but I did discover he can't be trusted not to run off when he's not on his leash. Good thing he got distracted by a wayward possum who he squared off on, or I might still be chasing his ass through the woods. ;D

Ive been watching craigslist (PHEW!) and theres a lot of these barrels for like $15-$20 each. I called this dairy farmer with an ad and he had them for $5 ea and $4 each for 30 of them. We got there and there was 500 barrels from this year in a pile! They were full of Hydrogen Peroxide, Alodine solution and propylene glycol for washing milking cows udders and teats, YUM! When the cows come in for milking they go through a whole washing process from the hoofs on up with several rinsings in between, then the back end gets washed again with a boat brush before the suckers go on. If those solutions were only a buck a gallon, I couldnt imagine what it costs to milk 100 head twice a day. Ill never bitch about the price of milk again. Hey Randy... how about a pic of Cletus? Leave the capns' hat off tho.... ws

Hay Willie, I'd post a pic but my laptop died this morning. Can't upload from my phone through here because the file is too big. You can see him on Farcebook. Feel free to copy and post his pitcher.

I thought you had a NEW laptop....I only found 1 picture on FF (FB) of Cletus and that is a lousy one. If you have more I need to know what album you have it in. I thought you had a video of Cletus but couldn't find it....Here is the picture of Ryan with a side shot of Cletus. How old is the dog? ppat Cletus reminds me of Willy's old dog Butch. Butch died at the age of 18, I think...

"Ol Cletus looks like he's about 8. Bostons are great dogs... Ive had about 9 so far. Boner is well on the way to figuring out potty outside after 30 hours. He has a hard time negotiating the 5 stairs to the outside back door. I hafta drag him one step at a time to bolster his confidence. He just about sits on command and after 10 minutes of crying in his "house" last nite at bedtime he got quiet for the rest of the nite. HOWEVER, this morning I got up and he heard me getting dressed and had to alert the whole neighborhood! He's a real talker! I cant get him to hold his ears up, but when they are fully erect (?) they are as big as his head! I think he's gonna be a good one! ws
